Technical Skills

The following are the minimum technical skills required by all of our technicians:

  • Hands-on PC assembly, repair, deployment and Troubleshooting
  • Network configuration, maintenance and Management
  • Windows 2003/XP Migration, Deployment, Administration, Design, Architecture, Security
  • All current bus architectures including PCMCIA, PCI, ISA, AGP, PCI-E
  • Install and troubleshoot any type of drive from IDE and SCSI-3 to other storage media
  • Upgrade and troubleshoot motherboards, processors and system RAM
  • Memory issues– SIMMS/DIMMS/SO-DIMMS and memory allocation
  • Networking standards, network troubleshooting, and cabling
  • Operating systems Dos, Win9X, Windows 2000/ XP / Vista/ 7 and Server 2003
  • Create and manage files and directories, and Change file attributes
  • Basic disk management procedures
  • Identify and remove viruses; protect systems from future infections
  • Client/server relations, peer to peer
  • Installing and upgrading to Windows Server 2003
  • Implementing and conducting administration of resources
  • Implementing, managing and troubleshooting Hardware devices
  • Monitoring and optimizing system performance
  • Implementing, managing and troubleshooting network protocols and services
  • Implementing security in Windows 2003 server resources, devices and drivers
  • Troubleshooting Windows 2003 network connections and security
  • Managing DHCP, remote access, network protocols, WINS, IP routing, certificates and network address tables
  • Configuring active directory, remote access
  • Windows 2003 DNS and directory services infrastructure
  • Managing and administering and Windows 2003 network
  • Managing and troubleshooting clients and servers
  • Active directory organizational units and groups.
  • Using different ticketing systems such as: “Track It,””Autotask” and “Tigerpaw.”
